"Before getting sober my education and work experience was in the criminal justice field. Once I got sober, I didn’t feel I should go back to career path. It would mean hiding that I am in recovery and big pieces of who I am today. I wanted a career where I could be who I am and use that as a strength and not as a weakness. I am so excited to be a part of the Wey of Life team I couldn’t have asked for a better team of amazing people to work with every day. Working in a peer recovery center means so much to me because I wouldn’t be where I am today without my community who have over the years become family. A family, unlike any other, is by far one of the biggest gifts of sobriety for me! Here at Wey of Life those connections and friendships can begin, I am honored and truly grateful to be a part of helping that magic happen for others.
