General Center Support:
Be a welcoming and supportive presence at the Scituate Recovery Center. You can help in a variety of ways – answering the phone, providing information and general support to walk-ins, creating a community environment, organizing, and helping to keep our Center clean.

*Please note: General Center Support is about providing a safe space for volunteers and an opportunity to give back. There will not always be projects to work on and the role is intended to provide peers with a safe space to be, work independently in quiet time, and provide community interaction for those walking in.

Outreach
Help us spread South Shore Peer Recovery’s message of hope! Interested in being a vocal and visual advocate for the Recovery Center? We are constantly seeking peers to help at outreach tabling events, putting up flyers, and attending local events and coalitions to represent our organization and community.

Facilitating/Starting a group or activity:
If you are interested in starting a group, organizing an activity, or running a workshop we would love to hear from you!

Participating on Peer Committees:
SSPR uses the peer participatory model. The voices of our community members matter most. We have several committees that meet regularly or as needed to help plan things such as Social Activities, Outreach, and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Event Planning & Support:
Interested in putting event planning skills to use? We regularly plan social events and annual fundraisers that include Comedy Shows and Recovery Rocks. We are constantly looking for support for our small staff team to bring these events to life.…and Special Projects.
Please take a few minutes to fill out a Volunteer form so that we can understand your interests and skills. We will connect in the coming days regarding next steps. Thank you!
